L’Interdit 2008:
L’Inerdit is the 2008 Fleurie from Domaine Jules Desjourneys. It was not entitled to the Fleurie appellation because of its atypicity. Atypical, it is because it stands out from the crowd of mediocrity. It seems that the approval committees only drink diluted and yeasted wines. Here the wine is concentrated, vibrant, with a beautiful substance on the length. A Fleurie like we would like to find more often.
Bettane & Desseauve commentary:
Unjustly downgraded, it is nevertheless not lacking in charm or sincerity, vinous on the palate with a finish that regains saline minerality. Score: 15.0 Peak: 2012 to 2018
