Agathe Bursin works her Pinot Noir with conviction, the conviction that her plot, a Calair-sandstone terroir on the Strangenberg,  can give a great wine for ageing. Meticulous harvesting, ageing for 20 months in Burgundian barrels. The result is there, with a wine of good density, very pure in its structure, a little austere young but which gains momentum with ageing. The balance between the fruit and the tannins is perfectly mastered, and the ageing carries the wine more than it marks it, leaving no trace for tasting.
