The 2012 Bourgueil Busardières from the Domaine de la Chevalerie is one of the best wines of the vintage in the region. Made from mid-slope Cabernet Franc vines on clay-limestone and tuff soils, this cuvée is astonishing for its richness, its very ripe fruit, with notes of black fruit and smoke. The palate is very full, greedy and full, and very long. The masterful balance of this wine will allow it to age happily over 15 years.
Bettane & Desseauve guide commentary:
Great finesse of tannin, sappy and delicate, with a floral touch. A first prize for beauty.
