Chignin-Bergeron is a wine made entirely from the Bergeron grape variety (also known as Roussanne in the Rhône Valley). The 2007 from Domaine Berlioz is in a more slender style than 2005, the nose is expressive, marked by wild herbs, white fruits and honey. The palate is fat but without softness, on the contrary, a broad minerality leads it to a very nice length. The volume settles on beautiful grapefruit bitters. The whole is pure, perfectly designed, and should evolve over ten years.
