RIESLING NIEDERHAUSER HERMANNSHÖHLE AUSLESE GOLDKASPEL 2006

The Hermannshöhle has been recognized for more than a century as the largest terroir in the Nahe. It is a superb steep hillside, facing south, a mixture of grey schist and volcanic rock (porphyry). It makes it possible to produce huge rieslings in dry as well as semi-dry and sweet. The Hermannshöhle Auslese Goldkaspel 2011 is a mellow wine with an extravagant nose, an intoxicating exotic fruitiness, the palate is carried by the minerality and incredible intensity of the terroir.
