The Hermannshöhle has been recognized for more than a century as the largest terroir in the Nahe. It is a superb steep hillside, facing south, a mixture of grey schist and volcanic rock (porphyry). It makes it possible to produce huge rieslings in dry as well as semi-dry and sweet. The Hermannshöhle Beerenauslese 2011 is a sweet wine with an extravagant nose, an intoxicating exotic fruitiness, the palate is carried by the minerality and the incredible intensity of the terroir. The acidity seems to dance with incredible ease.  60-year-old vines Manual harvest – yields 20hl/ha Fermentation and ageing in stainless steel tanks.
