A very large Beerenauslese, rare on this terroir!

The Oberhäuser Brücke is a monopoly of the Dönnhoff estate. This 1.1 hectare plot is recognized as a cru because of its unique character. It is a small vineyard located opposite the Luitpold bridge that leads to Oberhäuser. The vines are perfectly protected, which allows for early flowering, a long vegetative period and therefore a late and slow ripening. The presence of the arm of the river naturally leads the grapes to botrytize and the grey schist soil covered with silty loess provides the necessary water throughout the ripening process. The subsoil is made up of ancient rocks that bring a strong minerality to the wine, as well as a lot of freshness. Thanks to this unique terroir, the estate produces great sweet wines as well as ice wines on this plot almost every year.
