Les Vieilles Vignes du Champ des Treilles is a wine made from old Sémillon vines, affected by noble puriture. It is a sweet wine that has more in common with Monbazillac than with Sauternes. The biodynamic work of the vines, and the rapid presence of the rock under the vines give this wine a quite remarkable airy expression. The whole is fresh, digestible, very balanced, a bottle that can be opened as an aperitif as well as on more cooked dishes such as a tagine, or a guinea fowl with quinces…
This wine is at the price of the property, the Château du Champ des Treilles is in certified organic farming. In the vineyards as well as in the cellar, it is biodynamics that governs the timing of agricultural work and its nature.
