This cuvée is a tribute to a small group of winegrowers from Layon, who opposed the sweetening of wines and founded the “anti-sugar syndicate” in 1896. As we know, Patrick Baudouin is very active in defending “natural” sweet wines, which do not use chaptalisation or technical processes to concentrate the musts. This wine is in the image of the estate (and the winemaker), with a great sweetness of temperament, with a beautiful richness (104gr of residual) and a good acidity, the historical face of Chenin!
