1er Cru LES BEAUX-MONTS MAGNUM 2019

The parcel of the estate occupies 49.60 ares in the central part of the cru. The vines, planted in massal selection just after the Second World War, are about 65 years old. The exposure is East-South-East. It is a vineyard in a very healthy situation: well ventilated, very sunny with a lot of light. The soil, made up of red ochre clays and pebbles, is 30 to 40 cm deep, on a substrate mixing oolitic limestone and harder limestones (Comblanchien/Prémeaux) outcropping in places. The steep stoniness and slope guarantee excellent drainage. The fullness of the situation and the age of the vines regularly result in a full wine with quiet authority. With a great complexity of expression, the material is velvety, structured and elegant. The Vosne-Romanée 1er cru Les Beaux Monts is a complete wine with dense and deep tannins that needs time to develop all the finesse of its texture. The rich palette of its aromas reveals notes of red fruits, cherry cherry, plums, heady flowers and gingerbread.
