Domaine Belluard’s traditional Ayse Mont-Blanc Brut Zéro 2010 method is made from the Gringet grape variety, an old autochthonous grape variety from the Arve valley in Haute-Savoie. A late-ripening grape variety that does particularly well on the slopes of Ayse at an altitude of 450 metres. The hillside faces south with a limestone scree soil from the Chablais Massif, with clay-limestone strata. Vinification is done gently with pneumatic pressing and fermentation on indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged for 3 years on slats.
More complex than the 2009 Brut Ayse cuvée, the 2010 Mont-Blanc is a very refined bubble with a lot of elegance, tonicity and character. A wine that can also be expected in the cellar for several years.
